What a weekend.  One of our friends asked us to photograph the band he drums for named Johnny Sprocket as they played a “gig” at one of our favorite restaurants the Tilted Kilt; think of a Scottish version of Hooters, but with much better food and atmosphere!  Of course we said “YES!”  How could we not; good friends, good music, good food, good surroundings, and...hmm, what am I forgetting?...oh ya, good waitresses!

Rob Miller, our number one photographer friend, also came along and shot, and with us, about a dozen of our friends.  Well, actually there were more fans there than that, the place was packed!  Everyone had a great time.  The band put on a great performance and the crowed loved it.

As if we did not have enough fun, or ringing ears, the band asked us to photograph them the next night up in Michigan at a place called Czars 505.  Rob and I packed up his little Miata convertible, I grabbed my GPS (even though both our smart phones have GPS) and we headed out.  It was kind of an adventure getting there, as we tried to get some food on the way and both slices of pizza that Rob got ended up on his car, one on the hood!  Then when we got close to where the GPS said the night club was, we could not find it!  We circled around several times and only stopped when we saw one of the band members standing on the sidewalk.  Turns out that it is located below ground, who knew?!

Once we were finally there, we had a great time photographing the band.  The location added some good lighting and the dance floor was big and accommodating the entire crowd.  I did not notice any Scottish dressed waitresses, but it seemed like no one noticed the absence as they danced and enjoyed the music.
