Book Cover Photo Session
It was a busy day yesterday on Facebook. It was reveal day for author F.L. Jacob's cover art for her book entitled: Have I Told You.
Digital Mitchell Event Photography was recommended by a mutual friend (thank you Jennifer Stephens) to be the photographer for the cover art. The author's husband called us and inquired if we were available and interested in doing a digital photo for a book that his wife was writing. I asked their timeframe and looked at our calendar and said: "Yes, on both accounts." We corresponded back and forth a few times and they told us what their concept was for the book cover; it was a girl wearing only a high heeled shoe on one foot, and on the other foot a ballerina shoe. There might have been a few more suggestions but I will leave that to your imagination as you read on. ;-)
The reason it was such a busy day on Facebook, was that all the participants involved in the shoot, along with some select friends of the author, agreed to all change their Facebook cover images to the one I put at the top of this blog post. The message updates just kept coming in all day along with the notifications of new replies. It really was all I could do to keep up with the influx of notifications, but I enjoyed seeing all the fan fair.
All-in-all, I think the book cover reveal went very well for FL. Jacob, I know that my page saw one of it's busiest traffic days yet. We are eagerly looking forward to the actual book release later this October. When it hits the shelves, I will let you know by updating this post.
