Michael and I got a call the other day from one of my friends from high school. They wanted to get together with some of the other local classmates for dinner later in the week. I said, sure let me see what Michael is doing, I checked his calendar and my Android phone and he was free, so we sent the other girls a message on Facebook and the promptly replied with a "yes, love to!" (I just love my technology)
We all met at the local Elks lodge, where my friend's husband was the chairman of the board, on a Saturday night; apparently that is their slow night. The local girls from high school still see one another regularly, so it is not a special occasion when we get together, more of an excuse to eat, drink and be merry more than anything else. We did eat. We did drink. And, boy, were we merry! The group gets along pretty well and we always have a good time together. The fact that we had the entire place all to ourselves allowed us to not hold back any of the fun.
I had Michael bring along his camera, well actually my camera. He had recently sent in, for repairs, a speedlite--a flash unit--that I normally use on my camera and we had just received it back and he was eager to test it out. The following images are just a little "taste" of the evening. And I must say, that my camera and speedlite take pretty good pictures, LOL.

The start of the evening went well, we talked, gossiped and laughed. We did take time out to all figure out what we wanted for dinner, and when it arrived; well, we all enjoyed the food. Michael enjoyed everyone's meals, as he was quick to take photographs of them all.

Of the food was so good, everyone eat everything on their plate, except Michael. Michael seems to always make a point of taking home a doggy bag, even though we don't have a dog. I must say, he does heat his leftovers I, on the other hand, won't.
After dinner, the after dinner drinks were served, and they were equally delicious!

One of the best things about getting together with good friends is getting to laugh with one another. Our little group of girlfriends always manages to have a good time with each other.
